I'm 22nd year new
So, today, I’m 21 years old…I
wish I could say, “I’m 22nd
year new”, but the fact is with another day passing by, I’m getting old. But,
again, I’d say that’s perspective…
Anyway, this day, on the path to
22nd year of my life, I intend to roll back and see what I’ve been
doing the last 21 years of my life. It’s quite an interesting question, and if
someone would’ve asked me, I’d probably say “I
don’t know”. But, I’m asking myself, and I can’t do the same.
After pondering on the way to
describe my last 21 years, I felt to put it in this way. This year, I’ve
completed my bachelors’ degree in commerce field (a year later than originally expected)
from Badruka College of Commerce & Arts, as I participated in an exchange
scholarship program in the USA. By studying a 3-year degree, I still completed
16 years of education through the additional academic year of exchange studies
in Endicott College. In simple words, the last 4 years have been great. The
learnings proportionally expanded every year, where I’ve learnt a lot more
in the last year, than the combination of previous years.
I’d be lying if I say the path
was easy and every decision which I took was right. I’ve made enough mistakes which
made me not only learn from my actions, but also learn from the actions of
others. Also, instead of delving on right or wrong on the consequences of my
actions, I’ve started to grasp what I can in the course of outcomes. It also
goes back to the philosophy which I believe, Yin and Yang, ‘there is a certain good in bad, and a certain bad in
good’.
Although this post doesn't cover 21 years of my life, I can surely say this development of posting on a blog is surely one of the learnings of last 21 years.
NEW
Everything I’ve mentioned above
is old, but the title is “22nd
year new”, so what’s new??? For beginners, there are quite a few things,
but I don’t intend to mention as they are pretty much either resolutions or
goals. Either of which I don’t like to spill the beans unless I’ve accomplished
them or not. So, for a new start, in simple words, I’d like to put it this way.
“to make
every moment count…”
